We are still reeling from that phenomenal full-length trailer at this year’s Game Awards about Hideo Kojima’s new project: Death Stranding. Up until this point, we’ve had nothing but confusing cinematics. Though we are still scratching out heads a bit, we can begin to piece together the mysterious new narrative with the latest video (seen here). In addition to the incredibly detailed new trailer, Hideo Kojima himself took to Twitter to share the first official promotional image for the upcoming game. Those darn babies again …

Translation: “Death Stranding latest teaser video released at the TGA. Here is the new key visual for this. Starring (the player) is, of course, Norman Reedus!” The replies in the comment section just goes to show that how Kojima and his team are handling this project is the way to do it. When asked earlier this year as to why he won’t give a release window, or really anything concrete, his simple reply was that he refuses to show fans something unfinished. We can definitely appreciate it. One response to his tweet, however, sums it up perfectly:
This game is gonna be one of the single most great pieces of art innthe scifi video game genre. The wait is gonna kill us, but we’ll revive the day we get to play this with our own hands.

With the stars themselves, such as Reedus and Guillermo del Toro, even mentioning that they are completely in the dark – we have to agree with Servan at this point: The wait is going to kill us!
As of right now, Death Stranding is slated to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive, though with the PlayStation Experience going on this weekend – it wouldn’t be unheard of to see more info there as well. Until then, we wait!
