Zoe can borrow her enemies’ Summoner Spells and active item effects in League of Legends thanks to her Spell Thief ability, but she won’t be able to copy every active item that’s used.

Her Spell Thief move is the upcoming champion’s “W,” and it’s only usable once she picks up a spell shard that’s dropped after an enemy uses an effect. Minions can also drop them occasionally, a mechanic that means you can end up with the active effect of a Redemption or other powerful item from the moment you put a point in the spell. Some items – like Tiamat and its upgrades – don’t work with Zoe’s ability though, but there are still plenty that do.

The Active Items Effects
From Vandiril’s testing, the League content creator posted his findings on Reddit and with the “yes” or “no” after the item indicating what Zoe can pick up with her Spell Thief.
It appears that she mostly is able to obtain items that are fully built, not partial components of items. It’s also important to keep in mind that she’s not gaining any of the stats of these items, only the active effects. The effect will expire after a while if Zoe doesn’t make use of it, but Spell Thief has no mana cost and no cooldown, so she can use the spell shards as quickly as she can pick them up with her low-CD ultimate.
The effects that Zoe can pick up from minions also come from a different pool of possibilities, so there might still be some items that can be picked up from minions but not from champions that have yet to be discovered.
