The organizers for the event have confirmed that tickets for the event are now on sale, and are likely to go fast, based on how quickly tickets for PAX events have sold in the past.
Single day badges are available for $48, and those who want to pick up on the show’s exclusive merchandise can do so as well, including a scarf for $28, a dice set for $38 and a blanket for $38, only available through its online store.
“The PAX we’re building for the next Seattle show will have hottest upcoming games, panels with industry luminaries, and all the things you associate with the premiere gaming culture show in this hemisphere,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade. “I have a soft spot for PAX West, because the show started up here, but also because it’s like fifteen minutes from my house.”
The PAX events have proven to be a tremendous draw over the past few years, staring with the initial Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, and eventually spreading to other locations, including PAX East in Boston, PAX Australia, PAX South in San Antonio, a PAX event in China, and, most recently, a PAX tabletop show that’s set to take place in Pennsylvania later this year.
The event is sure to draw a number of high-profile guests, as well as eventful panels and a floor chock full of top-tier games, both from independent game developers and AAA studios. Though a list of these developers hasn’t been released yet, fans can expect to play a number of titles on the show floor, as well as picking up all sorts of swag and taking part in enjoyable panels and concerts.
We’ll bring you more details about PAX West as they come about over the next few months. E3 may be the focus right now, but this show will definitely be a highlight that shouldn’t be missed. Make sure you get your passes while you can!
