Pokemon Go players have unlocked Farfetch'd spawns around the world, but only for a limited amount of time.

At 7:51 PM EST, Pokemon Go announced that players had completed the Global Catch Challenge, which means that Farfetch'd will start spawning around the world, but only for a 48 hour period.

Farfetch'd is usually only available in Japan and East Asia, so this could be the first chance that many players have to catch this usually rare Pokemon. Kangkaskhan is also spawning in areas where Farfetch'd is usually available for the same 48 hour period.

From what we've seen (albeit in an urban area), Farfetch'd is spawning pretty regularly, so players shouldn't need to look very hard to find one to add to their collection.

Pokemon Go launched the Global Catch Challenge last Sunday, with players needing to catch 3 billion Pokemon in a week in order to unlock Farfetch'd. Players will also earn double XP and double stardust as rewards for passing the 500 million and 1.5 billion Pokemon milestones.

It seemed inevitable that Pokemon Go players would beat the Global Catch Challenge on Saturday, when Pokemon Go announced that players had caught over 500 million Pokemon in a single day.

Farfetch'd will only be available until Monday, so players will need to get out and Farfetch'd while it's still available around the world. Congratulations to all Pokemon Go players for beating this week long challenge! Hopefully, Pokemon Go announces another Global Catch Challenge in the next few weeks!
