Whenever NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon posts something on Twitter, speculation runs wild. We've heard stuff in the past that has led to confirmations for features in his games, but also gotten tweets that turned out to be nothing more than a wild goose chase.

And so, we're off again, as Ed Boon could be hinting at Injustice 2 arriving on a new platform – PC.

It all began with a totally unrelated tweet, with Boon showing off Ross Marquand – aka Aaron from The Walking Dead – walking around in a huge homemade power loader costume, similar to what Sigourney Weaver's Ripley used in the 1986 classic Aliens. The video was noted "Halloween at the office" and is a pretty fun watch, but Boon added the line, "Anyone else look at this video and think of the line: 'Get away from her you B**CH!!'" You can see the tweet below.

Now, that doesn't really hint at Injustice at all, but his next tweet does. He noted, "That line might not be very PC. But you know what will be…?" That tweet is here as well.

Again, this is not official confirmation, but there's only so many ways this hint could be taken. Some Twitter users believe that this is the opportunity for NetherRealm to premiere the trailer for Hellboy's inclusion in the game, since he's the confirmed November character as part of the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 3.

But let's also look at the possibility of the fighting sequel coming to the PC/Steam front. The original Injustice: Gods Among Us came out for us and has become a hit seller. And both of NetherRealm's recent Mortal Kombat games, the 2011 self-titled game and the Mortal Kombat X follow-up, have come out for PC as well, also selling as well. So the distinct possibility of Injustice 2 making a stop on PC is definitely a possibility.

With ELEAGUE hosting a special Injustice 2 event over the next three Fridays, we could very well get an announcement at that time, or that Hellboy trailer that we want so badly. Or, hell, maybe both. It is Halloween, so we definitely deserve some treats.

For the time being, Injustice 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
