We've posted Super Mario Odyssey gameplay in the past, talking about how pretty the game looks, no matter what area you may be exploring. But today, we got a closer look at the game in action, seeing what kind of resolution it runs at in both docked and portable mode.

According to Digital Foundry, the game looks good no matter which way you go, running at a consistent 60 frames per second – that's about the speed we've come to expect from prior Mario games, including the Super Mario Galaxy series and the Wii U release Super Mario 3D World.

As far as resolution goes, the game will be in 720p in portable mode, still running at its beautiful speed; and when docked, the game will display in 900p. While that's not quite 1080p, we have a feeling that a lot of players will still be impressed with how the results look on the Switch.
