Wild Guns Reloaded

Last year, Natsume brought back one of its more beloved old-school favorites from the SNES era, the shooter Wild Guns, to a new generation of players, as Wild Guns Reloaded became available for PlayStation 4 and PC. However, some Nintendo fans were wondering when they would get a turn with the game, especially since it initially released for a Nintendo platform back in the good ol' days of gaming. It just makes sense, right?

Natsume was thinking the same way. So, today, the publisher confirmed on Twitter that the game would be making its way to the Nintendo Switch, releasing sometime this spring. The price is expected to be under $20, making it way more affordable than what the original SNES game goes for now on eBay.

"Saddle up partners, we're riding onto a new console!" the company noted. "The arcade shooter Wild Guns Reloaded is heading to Nintendo Switch in both North America and Europe this Spring. Yeehaw! Keep watching our Twitter for more details."

When the game relaunched last year, it came with all the classic SNES levels that fans will remember, along with four playable characters, including two that are new to the game this time around. Joining our main heroes is a new gun-toting gal that isn't afraid to show off her power, as well as a dog aided by a robot that comes packing plenty of firepower.

The game isn't a "remaster" by any means, as it retains the classic 16-bit style graphics that the original game was known for. That suits a lot of players just fine, though, as it brings plenty of SNES nostalgia along with it, as well as challenging gameplay that will keep players coming back for more. And it supports up to four players, so friends can join you when it comes to cleaning up the city of human varmints and robotic threats.

"Natsume developed the original Wild Guns in 1994 for the SNES, and we are proud to continue this legacy in Wild Guns Reloaded for Nintendo Switch," said Hiro Maekawa, President & CEO of Natsume. "We've included some brand new features for the Switch version that we're very excited about!"

We'll let you know when the game has an official release date and price!
