Are you Inhuman? Fans will find out soon enough as principal photography on the first season of Marvel's Inhumans is nearing completion.
According to the Reel News Hawaii Twitter account, Marvel's Inhumans filmed the end of the series' seventh episode ahead of the Memorial Day weekend in military battery tunnels above Aikahi, Kailua.
Filming for the eighth and final episode of Marvel's Inhumans' first season is set to begin, with the production wrapping on June 8. The season finale will be directed by Marvel's Agents of SHIELD veteran Billy Gierhart.
ABC Studios and Marvel Television showed the first trailer for Marvel's Inhumans during ABC's advertiser upronts in May. The trailer hasn't yet been released online, though descriptions and reactions from those in attendance have, along with stray images and the first footage of Lockjaw in action. A short logo teaser for the event series also appeared with IMAX screenings of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

The concept of the Inhumans should be familiar to fans of Agents of SHIELD. They are a superhuman species that were created by Kree experimentation on early humans and that have evolved separately ever since. Inhumans appear as humans until they come into contact with a substance called terrigen, which catalyzes a biological reaction revealing the individual's Inhuman abilities, sometimes accompanied by a physical transformation.
While Agents of SHIELD has dealt primarily with a small, isolated community of Inhumans on Earth and normal humans who underwent Terrigenesis without understanding how or why, Marvel's Inhumans will focus on Marvel's most popular Inhuman characters, the Inhuman royal family.
In Marvel's Inhumans, after the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them but Earth itself.
Marvel's Inhumans stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Ken Leung as Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran, and Ellen Woglom.
Marvel's Inhumans is executive produced by Scott Buck (Dexter, Marvel's Iron Fist) with Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage) and Jim Chory (Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage). Buck is serving as showrunner. Roel Reine (Admiral, Black Sails) will direct the first two episodes, which will debut in IMAX theaters. Marvel's Inhumans is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.
The first two episodes of Marvel's Inhumans will premiere in IMAX theaters on Friday, Sept. 1. The full eight-episode series will air Friday nights on ABC in the fall.
