The crew at the House of Ideas spent today rolling out the 52 comics — all of which can be seen here — as a part of their Marvel Legacy rebranding this fall. To kick off the new line of comic books, Marvel unveiled a set of covers that pay homage to some of the most iconic covers the publisher has released.

While most of the covers simply paid tribute to the character’s past, some of the images showed complete cover swipes, swapping out the characters but keeping the theme intact.
Arguably the most bizarre of these covers was that of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, which shows Doreen Green and Tippy-Toe in the place of Galactus and Silver Surfer, respectively.
Becoming the Herald of Galactus would be quite the undertaking for a character who has spent the majority of her life on Earth, unlike Marvel’s wide array of characters based in the cosmos, should this be something that comes to fruition.
Currently Green can be found as a member of Roberto da Costa’s U.S.Avengers fighting alongside the likes of Cannonball, Red Hulk, Iron Patriot, and Enigma.
Prior to that, she served as a member of the New Avengers as well as the ragtag group of superheroes known as the Great Lakes Avengers.
Although the character has been seen in various animated Marvel properties over the course of her existence, the first time she’ll appear in a live action form will be when Freeform’s New Warriors debuts sometime next year.
You can read all about the cast of characters to expect in the series here. As of right now, casting of the film’s titular group has yet to be announced. But in the meantime, we have a few ideas of who should play the group’s leader, Squirrel Girl.

New Warriors revolves around about six young people with powers living and working together. With powers and abilities on the opposite end of the spectrum of The Avengers, the New Warriors want to make a difference in the world … even if the world isn’t ready. With Freeform focused on a group dubbed “becomers” — those experiencing a series of firsts in life including first loves and first jobs — New Warriors explores the journey into adulthood, except in this world, they’re not quite super and not yet heroes and the guys can be as terrifying as bad dates.
