Exclusive footage for the upcoming Black Panther movie was an instant hit at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend and the part that's got a lot of people talking isn't the action, but instead, what one particular character is wearing.

At the end of the footage, T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and villain Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) are locked in battle with one another and both men suit up with their advanced nano-tech suits. While only seen briefly, Killmonger's suit appeared to be a gold version of the Black Panther suit, the gold indicative of the jaguar instead of the silver notes of the Black Panther suit.

When Entertainment Weekly asked about the gold suit, however, Michael B. Jordan deflected and instead spoke about Killmonger's relationship to T'Challa.

"Me and T'Challa have two totally different approaches to the throne as well and you see those two opposing sides clash. So, you can call it a Magneto/Professor X type of chemistry. That's all I can give away," Jordan said.

In comics books, Killmonger and T'Challa do have a complex history, with Killmonger having vied for the Wakandan throne as an outsider originally born N'Jadaka. After the death of his father, N'Jadakagrew up in exile in Harlem, New York and developed a hatred for T'Challa, who had exiled him. The appearance of the gold jaguar suit as well as it's snazzy technology could hint at a new origin for Killmonger, one with a deeper tie to T'Challa.
