Everything Wrong With Logan Video Makes A Lot Of Good Points

Earlier this year, the X-Men Cinematic Universe roared back to life thanks to Logan. The long-awaited film may have bid farewell to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but it also gave fans an authentic look into the surly mutant's final years. The R-rated romp shot to the top of the box office - but like any other film - Logan does have it pitfalls. Now, CinemaSins is calling out Logan's more cringe-worthy moments, so you better strap in for a long ride.

Over on Youtube, the popular channel uploaded "Everything Wrong With Logan," a video which marks the film's consistency errors or nonsensical plot points. The piece clocks in at 17 minutes, and CinemaSins does point out some eye-catching moments.

As you can watch in the video above, the channel spends much of its time bemoaning the film's love of disposition. The huge time gap between Logan and The Wolverine meant that the new film had to catch fans up on how the Wolverine got to his new point in life. There was information to drop about his X-Men leave, what happened to the team, his relationship with Professor Xavier, and much more. Logan does its best to show rather than tell when possible, but a lot of backstory was forced into dialogue chunks.

CinemaSins also points out other annoyances which come with any superhero film. The movie had enough studio logos and fake blood to overindulge any moviegoer. But, in the end, the Youtube channel doesn't manage to knock the film too hard. Logan manages to avoid a brutal stripping thanks to its refreshing tone, but the sinful video is worth a look if you've got some time on hand.

In 2029, the mutant population has shrunk significantly and the X-Men have disbanded. Logan, whose power to self-heal is dwindling, has surrendered himself to alcohol and now earns a living as a chauffeur. He takes care of the ailing old Professor X whom he keeps hidden away. One day, a female stranger asks Logan to drive a girl named Laura to the Canadian border. At first he refuses, but the Professor has been waiting for a long time for her to appear. Laura possesses an extraordinary fighting prowess and is in many ways like Wolverine.

She is pursued by sinister figures working for a powerful corporation; this is because her DNA contains the secret that connects her to Logan. A relentless pursuit begins … In this third cinematic outing featuring the Marvel comic book character Wolverine we see the superheroes beset by everyday problems. They are ageing, ailing and struggling to survive financially. A decrepit Logan is forced to ask himself if he can or even wants to put his remaining powers to good use. It would appear that in the near-future, the times in which they were able put the world to rights with razor sharp claws and telepathic powers are now over.
