Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will remain on Tuesday nights, but will move from its current 9 p.m. time slot into the 10 p.m. time slot.
The move makes room on ABC’s schedule for The Middle and new show American Housewife to join the network’s Tuesday night comedy block.
ABC’s 10 p.m. time slot has been a rotating door of failed dramas in recent seasons.
This is the second time slot move for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since it premiered in 2013 in ABC’s 8 p.m. time slot. It was moved into the 9 p.m. slot beginning with Season 2. The move to a later time slot was said to allow for the show to take on an edgier tone, a sentiment now being repeated by ABC in regards to the 10 p.m. move.
The Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 finale airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
