The secrecy surrounding Marvel Studios biggest film to date has kept fans in the dark, but that hasn't dampened the anticipation for Avengers: Infinity War or its untitled sequel.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have provided fans with continuous updates from the sets of their two Avengers movies, which are shooting back to back. But the latest photo is more intriguing than revealing.

The new photo posted to social media surveys a scene of destruction, washed out in brightness. Check it out below.

Given the Russo's penchant for teasing, this could end up being a significant reveal — we just won't know it until Avengers: Infinity War premieres.

The directors posted a ton of photos from the set of Captain America: Civil War, including a close-up image of a binder that eventually revealed the Sokovia Accords, as well as a picture of Peter Parker's eye lens for his homemade Spider-Man mask.

Another photo showed a closeup of the label of a classic VCR, which was used to play the footage of the Winter Soldier murdering Tony Stark's parents. Those three images ended up teasing major plot points in the film, though they weren't put into context until the film's release.

Though many fans have questioned whether the Russo Brothers' Twitter account actually belongs to the directors, the specificity of the images leaves little doubt.

It's likely that this image will also have to do with a major plot point in one of the Avengers films, but we won't know exactly what it is until we get a chance to watch the movie a few times.

Those tricky Russo Brothers!

With all of the chaos promised in Avengers: Infinity War, we wouldn't be surprised if we're looking at a scorched earth scenario.

Hopefully we learn more when that first trailer finally drops, whenever that may be.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres in theaters May 4, 2018.
