Is working in a comic book store supposed to be a bad thing?

Marvel's Doctor Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch as The Sorcerer Supreme finally hits theaters this coming friday. It's already being heralded as one of Marvel's best films and is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

It's being projected to haul in $70M in it's first weekend, but of course we're hoping for more.

The post-credits scene even teases a sequel and it's confirmed that we'll be seeing Stephen Strange in Avengers: Infinity War.

But if for some ridiculous reason Doctor Strange fails, Cumberbatch has a back up plan to work in a comic book shop in New York where the film was shot - more specifically JH Universe Comics in Manhattan.

"I went into a comic book store on the last day of shooting in New York [dressed as Doctor Strange]. I didn't buy any comics, but I offered my services. I said, 'Look, if the film doesn't work out, I'll come and stack the shelves for you."

The movie is projected to hit $100 million at the worldwide box office soon since it premiered with an $87.7 million opening last weekend. Doctor Strange fared well in more than 33 foreign markets, but the U.K. and South Korea were particularly pleased with the movie.

We admit, it would be pretty awesome to walk into the local comic book shop and see Cumberbatch behind the register. But let's be serious, he won't be taking of The Cloak of Levitation anytime soon and that's a good thing!

From Marvel comes DOCTOR STRANGE, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey.
