It also means more Baby Groot, and that is always a good thing, especially when it’s up to him to save the day.

In the newest TV spots for Guardians, the team faces down the forces of Ayesha and the Ravagers to save the galaxy once again, and that involves Baby Groot having to spring some of his teammates from a cell. The result? Groot at his best, and the full scene will probably be one of the best parts of the film. Also new are “Good Tunes”, “Avengers Assemble”, and “Stupid”, in addition to the aforementioned “Baby Groot Saves The Day”. You can hit the next slide to see all four new TV spots, and the official description can be found below.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. Good Tunes
The Guardians of the Galaxy trailers are becoming just as well known for their fantastic soundtracks as they are for their action sequences and comedic timing. What is even better is when all of those merge together, perfectly represented in the newest “Good Tunes” TV spot.
The cherry on top is throwing more Baby Groot, dancing away to the tunes while also decking a weirdย lizard looking thing. Adorable and helpful, the best combination. Someone get the little guy some more Skittles, M&Ms, or whateverย else ancient trees eat. He more than deserves it.
Avengers Assemble
The earth has its own set of protectors in the Avengers, and they’ve developed quite a name for themselves over the last few years. That said, the Guardians have also saved the universe against total annihilation, though their name just hasn’t spread as widely.
That doesn’t really matter though if you ask them. Rocket is more than happy to spell out exactly who they are, even to someone as powerful (and non-approachable) as Ayesha. Just a side note here, but even with all her uber-villany, how can Ayeshaย talk that way to someone as cute as Groot? Seriously, is she a monster?
Baby Groot Saves The Day
Sometimes things just don’t go your way, and in those times you need someone you can rely on. The Guardians’ย Rocket Raccoon and Yonduย find themselves in that sort of predicament at some point in Guardians Vol. 2, trapped inside a cell. It’s up to Baby Grootย to get them out, and this is where things get incredibly entertaining.
Tasked with finding Yondu’sย gauntlet, Baby Grootย manages to find everything else, including a very personalย piece of Yondu’sย wardrobe. Suffice it to say this whole process might take a while.
Stupid
The Guardians of the Galaxy are one of the most dysfunctional families in Marvel’sย cinematic universe, and that is partly why they are so popular. The weird mix of personalitiesย and backgrounds makes for pricelessย humor, and also some spots of confusion.
Take for instance in the “Stupid” TV spot, which features Star-Lord and Rocket having some communication problems. Star-Lord is being serious, but Rocket hasn’t exactly mastered the art of sarcasm, or for that matter subtlety. Hopefully, they can get on the same page before someone gets eaten…oh, wait, Draxย already leapt into the Abilisk’s mouth. Okay, scratch that.
