When it came to Iron Man, Marvel Studios could not have anticipated the kind of fallout the blockbuster would have. Having debuted back in 2008, the superhero flick was the first project released by the juvenile company, and it captured the imaginations of millions. Today, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has dozens of projects under its hefty belt and raked in millions of dollars. Actors like Robert Downey Jr. and Gwenyth Paltrow were instrumental in setting up the fledgling universe, but Jeff Bridges did his part to establish a terrifying villain in Obadiah Stane.

And, now, it seems like the legendary actor would not mind testing the superhero waters once more.
Recently, the actor sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter with others like Casey Affleck and Andrew Garfield. It was there that Bridges talked about his work on Iron Man, and he had this to say when he was asked whether he’d be part of another big superhero film.
“Well, I was in Tron. I got sucked into the computer. That’s kind of one of those,” he said before continuing on.
“Yeah,” he answered. “You know, early on in my career, I really stood out to try and not develop a strong persona and mix up so the audience would have an easier time projecting whatever character I was playing.”
Fans would surely love to see Bridges make his way into another superhero franchise, but it’s amazing to see the actor is willing to return. Earlier in the interview, Bridges admitted he was frustrated over parts of Iron Man‘s filming given his desire for planning ahead.
“It turned out that many times — 10, 12, 15 times — we would show up for the days work, not knowing what we were gonna shoot,” Bridges said. “All the guys in the studio are sitting there tapping their foot, looking at their watch, and we’re sitting in my trailer trying to figure out my lines,” he admitted.

The MCU will continue with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017. Next up is Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7, 2017, with Thor: Ragnarok landing on November 3, 2017. Black Panther debuts on February 16, 2018, followed by the eagerly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018. Ant-Man and the Wasp hits on July 6, 2018, with Captain Marvel finally hitting theaters on March 8, 2019.
