To announce the trailer, Marvel dropped a hilarious little teaser that helped to build the excitement. If you recall, this clip saw Drax getting on everyone’s nerves, because he couldn’t help but loudly slurp his soup at dinner. Each of the other Guardians took a turn chastising the guy, but nothing changed.

Along with many of the fans, director James Gunn thought the clip was really funny. Unfortunately though, he revealed that it didn’t make the film’s final cut.

While it may have been funny, Gunn says there was plenty of hesitation surrounding scene. It could have just been that the joke didn’t land with some audiences, or there could have been an issue with the scene feeling out of place.

Either way, the clip won’t be featured in Guardians when it hits theaters in May. Props to Gunn and the marketing to team for sharing it with the fans, so everyone can still get some laughs from it.
