There is cosplaying, and then there is cosplaying. The difference between the two can be subtle, but it all comes down to determination. When you are doing cosplay right, you are going all-in on a character with all the creative license you can muster. If you want to see what one such cosplay looks like, then you have to check out this group Ant-Man ensemble. It might just be the best cosplay for the pint-sized superhero that we’ve ever seen.

Earlier this week, five attendees at Rocky Mountain Con showed-up other cosplayers with their quintet look. The group all dressed as fairly standardized iterations of Ant-Man, but the genius of their look was found in their assembly. Each member of the group was a different age and height, so the team could make it look like Ant-Man was shrinking when they were standing in a line.
A photo of the stellar cosplay went viral earlier this week when writer Ricky Tan snapped a photo of the cosplayers and shared it on Twitter. Plenty of fans have since shared the photo and remarked that the cosplay can work in two ways. Obviously, the attendees depict Ant-Man decreasing in size if you look at the photo from right-to-left. But, if you change directions, then the shortest Ant-Man could be showing Scott Lang’s average height. Then, as you move right, you eventually work your way up to a towering version of Giant-Man.
Ta-da!
Of course, this isn’t the only brilliant cosplay we have seen come from Ant-Man. Earlier this year, fans were treated to an adorable image of a young boy dressed up as the hero thanks to Walkin’ & Rollin’ Costumes. The company creates specialized costumes for children who use walkers and wheelchairs, and this get-up made it look like one boy’s mobility device was turned into an ant.
If you want to make your own Ant-Man cosplay, then you are certainly try to DIY a costume of your own. Fans can make their own Ant-Man helmet if they have enough odds-and-ends lying about their houses. A girl named Mikaela Holmes from Instructables did just that, and you can find her craft instructions here.
