Yesterday, we reported on rumors that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was filming using at least some IMAX camera. /Film has since received confirmation from IMAX that the rumors are true.
While plenty of films receive IMAX releases, fewer are actually shot using IMAX cameras. Batman v. Superman executive producer Christopher Nolan is known to have a fondness for the format, having filmed scenes from The Dark Knight Trilogy and Intersteallar using IMAX cameras.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters March 25, 2016.
