When the genetically-modified Indominus Rex escapes its paddock it goes on a murderous spree in Jurassic World. One of its many victims is a giant plant-eating dinosaur known as an Apatosaurus.
Many of the dinosaurs in Jurassic World are computer-generated, but that wasn't the case for the dying Apatosaurus that Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) comfort in its final moments. That was an animatronic created in three months by the craftsmen at Legacy Effects.

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure based on the novel "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton. The screenplay is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Trevorrow & Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.
Jurassic World has been released into the wild.
