During Super Bowl XLVIII, DreamWorks Pictures will be debuting a new trailer for Need for Speed. In preparation for the game, we've put together this post to let you know what exactly Need for Speed is all about. Need for Speed stars Paul Aaron as Tobey Marshall, a street racer just released from being imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. Now he's set to race across country to avenge the death of a friend. The film is an adaptation of Electronic Arts' Need for Speed game series, though not any particular game in the series – which makes sense, since they don't really have stories of their own. The games are all about, as the name suggests, driving really fast, with different games added in extra elements such as car customization or police chases. The film has been described as "a fast-paced, high-octane film rooted in the tradition of the great car culture films of the 70s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the video game franchise". The supporting cast includes Dominic Cooper, Kid Cudi, Imogen Poots, Ramon Rodriguez and Michael Keaton. A few months ago, the first full length trailer for the film was released.
