If you search around the Internet, you’ll find many examples of parents customizing existing Power Wheels Jeeps with a Jurassic Park theme for their kids. Thanks to Mattel’s acquisition of the Jurassic Park license, an official version has been released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original film and the upcoming release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Needless to say, this is going to be high on the dream toy list for kids and very tiny adults.

We would have expected the Power Wheels Jeep to debut alongside a big wave of Jurassic Park offerings at the 2018 New York Toy Fair but, oddly enough, the Jeep was briefly available for sale via Walmart Canada but sold out quickly. Apparently it was listed at $398, which would be roughly $320 US. The official description reads:

The Jurassic-Rex and velociraptors are on the loose! Your young adventurer knows just what to doโ€”hop into their Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler vehicle and get moving! With awesome Jurassic Park graphics and styling, exciting dino-chase sounds, and a real working light bar, kids will feel like they’re driving the real thing! Racing at a max speed of 5 mph over hard surfaces and grass with Power-Lock brakes and a parent-controlled high-speed lock out, young off-roaders will love steering Jurassic adventures in this exciting ride-on!

If you’re familiar with these types of ride-on vehicles, you’ll know that the top speed is only 5 mph and there’s a 130 pound weight limit. If you’re above that limit but still tempted to give it a go, just remember that you can’t escape a dinosaur that’s chasing you when your battery-powered vehicle is completely bogged down by your crushing weight. Seriously, if Jeep made replica Jurassic Park versions of their Wrangler they would probably sell like hotcakes.

If you ask us, this Jurassic Park Power Wheels Jeep the coolest ride-on toy since the Radio Flyer 12 Volt Luke Skywalker Star Wars Landspeeder. That ride-on toy also featured lights and sounds, but launched with a crazy $500 price tag. However, you can nab it right now for only $250, which is a super bargain for another dream toy contender.

Note: If you purchase one of the awesome products featured above, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. Thank you for your support.
