Late last night, covered by all the Avengers vs. X-Men hullabaloo, Marvel released a clip from the upcoming film adaptation of The Avengers to YouTube. In what seems likely to be the establishing scene that introduces Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), the scene sees her tied to a chair, apparently toying with some bad guys who think they're in control. It isn't until it becomes inconvenient for the phone call she's having with S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) that she decides to kick the crap out of the men and free herself. Unsurprisingly for a Joss Whedon movie, she does an impressive job of taking down a roomful of larger, male aggressors and looking great doing it. Check it out below, and let us know what you think of the first non-trailer footage Marvel has yet released for this anticipated release!
