Spider-Man and Kingpin finally come to blows in this electric concept poster for a Special Presentation that could bring New York’s best street-level heroes back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite Kingpin being one of Spider-Man’s most iconic antagonists in Marvel Comics, the pair have shockingly never fought each other in live-action. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker could be a crucial thorn in the side of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, who has only gained more power and influence since returning to the MCU in Hawkeye, Echo, and Daredevil: Born Again.

Although nothing of the sort has yet been announced by Marvel Studios, the possibility of a Special Presentation focused on Wilson Fisk’s Kingpin has now been imagined in a concept poster shared by @spdrmnkyxxiii on Instagram. The poster imagines D’Onofrio returning in a project titled Kingpin: City Under Siege, and pits the supervillain against Spider-Man, the Punisher, and the entire Defenders team, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the Iron Fist. This Special Presentation would fully explore Kingpin’s war against New York’s street-level heroes, but another MCU project will be doing this very soon.
How Marvel Studios Will Continue Kingpin’s War in the MCU

Daredevil: Born Again season 1 saw Wilson Fisk elected as the Mayor of New York, and he used this position to outlaw the city’s vigilantes. Season 2 will continue to adapt Marvel Comics’ Devil’s Reign from 2021 into live-action, which saw New York’s street-level heroes go up against Mayor Fisk and eventually replace him with Luke Cage. Mike Colter’s indestructible man hasn’t been confirmed to be returning, nor has Finn Jones’ Danny Rand, but with Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones reuniting with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, it’s possible the Defenders could join forces again in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
Alongside Daredevil: Born Again season 2, a number of other upcoming MCU projects could explore Kingpin’s influence over New York City. Jon Bernthal will be returning as Frank Castle’s Punisher in his own Special Presentation in 2026, following on from his escape from Kingpin’s Red Hook prison in Born Again. July 2026 will also mark the release of Destin Daniel Cretton’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which, while unconfirmed, could see Peter Parker deal with the fallout of Kingpin’s martial law and outlawing of vigilantes, and perhaps even bring the web-slinger and the Kingpin of Crime face-to-face.
Vincent D’Onofrio recently suggested that Kingpin was unable to appear in any of the MCU’s theatrical releases, as per Marvel Studios’ deal with Sony Pictures. However, this deal seems to be strengthening all the time, and with the ending of the Sony Spider-Man Universe after Kraven the Hunter, it’s possible Kingpin could finally make his big-screen debut. Even if not, a Special Presentation would give him the chance to explore a movie-like storyline while still technically in a Disney+ television release, and it would be great to see the Defenders and Spider-Man team up against him.
