When the Avengers: Age of Ultron character poster for Chris Hemsworth's Thor was released this past week, it was Samuel L. Jackson who tweeted out that poster. That's because Hemsworth was one of the few Avengers at the time without a social media presence.

However, that all changed today. Yes, Thor star Chris Hemsworth has officially joined the social media age by creating a verified account on Twitter.

After launching the account, Hemsworth even shared his first tweet with the world. Hemsworth wrote, "Two things are happening right now: 1. My first tweet 2. Getting ready to host @nbcsnl with @zacbrownband."

In his first day on Twitter, Hemsworth has already attracted over 64,000 followers.
