The deadly explosion that took place earlier today near the finish line of the Boston Marathon has got New England scrambling to make sense of the situation but organizers of the Boston Comic Con say that, at least at present, the show is expected to go on as planned this weekend. "Currently we expect #BostonCon to continue as planned. We will have more information in the days ahead. Thank you for your patience," convention organizers tweeted about an hour ago. Taking place at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, just a few blocks from today's explosion near Copley Station, it's possible that plans could change; the Boston Police Department are saying that Copley will remain closed until further notice, with no other comment on a timeframe. Boylston Street, which houses both facilities, is a one-way street that would force convention traffic to within about two blocks of the area.
