During an interview with MTV at the Toronto International Film Festival, Chris Evans spoke briefly about Michael B. Jordan taking over his role as Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch, in the Fantastic Four reboot. Evans revealed that he had run into Jordan a couple times and talked to him about the role.
"It's nice being around someone who's going…he's so talented, I mean he's such a phenomenal actor," said Evans. "I almost think it would be harder if you kind of had to pass the torch---pass the torch, nailed it, nailed it---pass the torch to someone who wasn't…you know if you thought you're going to murder this character."
Evans added, "But I really think he's going to be phenomenal, and it's almost exciting to see what he's going to do."
