Comic Book Men poster

While many networks have already begun airing new episodes of returning series and premiered their midseason replacement shows, we've still got a couple of weeks to go before AMC gets back into the game. However, there are plenty of teasers to keep fans satisfied in the mean time. For example, AMC just released the first poster for their new Kevin Smith produced show called Comic Book Men. Earlier this month, Comicbook.com posted two promotional clips for Comic Book Men. The new poster doesn't reveal any new details, but it wastes no time in reminding viewers of the parties involved in the show. The very top of the poster proudly announces, "From the network that brings you The Walking Dead." Also, featured near the top of the poster is executive producer Kevin Smith, who is the most recognizable face associated with the show. Standing behind Kevin Smith are three employees of Smith's New Jersey comics shop, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash: Walt Flanagan, Michael Zapcic and Ming Chen. At the bottom of the poster, Bryan Johnson is showed examining a toy robot with a magnifying glass. Bryan doesn't work at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, but he spends most of his time there anyway. The Comic Book Men poster also contains the tagline, "Putting the Ka-Pow into Ker-Ching!" This tagline is right inline with earlier reports that have described the show as somewhat like a Pawn Stars for comic book fans. According to AMC, episodes will "feature store transactions, including purchases, sales and the appraisal and discovery of fanboy-centric collectible items; staff field trips, when the Secret Stash gang ventures out to source rarities; and moments from podcasts with Kevin Smith and the Secret Stash team, which will be woven throughout the episode." Comic Book Men premieres on February 12, 2012 at 10 PM ET on AMC. The show premieres directly after…you guessed it, the return of new episodes of The Walking Dead.
