Cyborg Superman/Supergirl Face-Off Sets Stage for Event Story

DC Comics will apparently launch a new, Superman family-centric story in the fall, spinning out of the events of August's Supergirl #23. According to solicitation text provided to CBR, "Supergirl struggles to survive against one of the most dangerous villains in the entire universe – Cyborg Superman! But what could Superman's robotic doppleganger want with Supergirl? The answer will blow your mind—and set the stage for a massive story this fall!" We've known for a while that Cyborg Superman was coming, but since his redesign was handled by Superman artist Kenneth Rocafort, we had more or less assumed that he would be appearing in that book. Instead, it seems that the first major arc that will start in the Superman books following the release of this summer's Man of Steel will see the Cyborg Superman face off against Supergirl and, let's face it, probably the rest of the Superman family as well.
