Did Batman Break Someone's Neck In Batman V. Superman Trailer?

Everyone has been going nuts over this weekend's newest Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer -- and whenever that happens, it's likely our readers are going to spot some interesting stuff.

Case in point? Somebody sent us word that around the 2:40 mark in the trailer, it appears as though Batman -- replete in his desert gear that kind of reminds me of something Hush would wear -- snaps the neck of a soldier attacking him.

Now, a few things.

First of all, it's been widely speculated that the "Superman soldiers" are part of a fantasy sequence, not unlike the black-costumed Superman from Man of Steel.

That said, one has to wonder: will Batman's no-kill code be preserved in this film?

It's hard to say. While he stops short of killing both the Joker and the Mutant Leader in The Dark Knight Returns, the story upon which the cinematic Batman seems to be largely based, he's a dangerous, unhinged and violent figure at times -- more so in that story's sequel, The Dark Knight Strikes Again, and its sister publication (I refuse to acknowledge it as a prequel, although writer Frank Miller insists they're set in the same universe) All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder.

That said, it's difficult to imagine that after Nolan gave so much camera time to the no-kill thing in Batman Begins, the next iteration of the character would ditch it out of hand, especially with all the fuss over Man of Steel.

Of course, that last bit is another reason it's probably a fantasy sequence.

After all -- a neck snap? Where have we seen that before...?
