Since Akira debuted back in 1982, fans of the iconic manga and film have all agreed on one thing: Kaneda's bike is the best. The classic red motorcycle has become a defining vehicle in the history of manga and the ride's style has been coped in dozens of shows like Pokemon and Adventure Time. And, now, a couple of fans are honoring Akira's bike in the best way possible.

Brad Kermer, a videographer, worked with Dean Fowler for years to complete this awesome CGI trailer based on Katsuhiro Otomo's work. Anyone who watches the video can clearly see the amount of time the duo put into their fan project. I mean, the audio and rendering alone is enough to make most fans nostalgic, and the creators absolutely nailed Akira's infamous 'sliding bike' shot.

Don't know what I mean? Just watch the clip; The clip is impossible to miss.

Speaking to Crunchyroll, Kermer told the site why he decided to spend so long rendering the Akira's tribute. "Akira was my first entry into the world of Japanese anime and manga," he explained.

He went on to say, "When Dean and I started this CG journey into Akira we had so many ideas about what direction we should go and what part of the story we would concentrate on. But we finally settled on what initially caught our attention when we watched the film for the first time…Kaneda's bike. The red motorcycle from Akira is one of those iconic symbols that still remains relevant today similar to the Millennium Falcon or Marty McFly's beat up DeLorean. And so this fan film is a tribute to the greatest movie motorcycle ever put on film."
