FX Releases New Previews For The Strain

FX has released a few new preview videos for The Strain, the upcoming television adaptation of the vampire novels written by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan.

The more in depth video, titled "Inside The Strain," feature interviews with Del Toro and some of the series' stars, including Corey Stoll and Sean Astin, who discuss bringing the horror novel series to life through the world and the story.

Two other video, "New World" and "Metamorphisis," show clips from the show itself.

The Strain is a thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

The Strain premiers Sunday, July 13 on FX.
