Marvel Studios announced earlier today that the U.K. premiere of Iron Man 3, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, will be delayed until Thursday so that it doesn't conflict with the funeral of conservative political icon Margaret Thatcher. Ironically Thatcher, the former British Prime Minister, was nicknamed "The Iron Lady." She passed away on Monday and more than 2,000 guests have been invited to attend her state funeral, which will begin with a procession from Westminster through central London and conclude at St. Paul's Cathedral. No other changes are expected to the event, which will still take place at the Odeon Leicester Square and will still feature cast and crew from the film walking the red carpet.
