Before iZombie comes to The CW in early 2015, the series will recast what sounds like a fairly key role, Deadline reports. The Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars)-driven comics adaptation from Warner Bros TV centers on Olivia "Liv" Moore, a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner's office to gain access to the brains that helps her hang onto her humanity. Ultimately, though, it turns out that when she eats the brains, she gains the memories of the dead and this leads to a police procedural setting that sees Liv solving homicide cases. The networkwill be replacing Alexandra Krosney, who plays Peyton, Liv's best friend and roommate who is baffled by Liv's recent behavior and feels like they're drifting apart. It isn't uncommon for networks to recast between the pilot and a series order, and it's unlikely Krosney will be removed from the pilot (although it's theoretically possible since it hasn't been screened outside of the network yet).
