When Punks: The Comic #1 comes to stores next month from Image Comics, it will bring with it the debut of Punks: The Card Game, writer Joshua Hale Fialkov announced via Twitter yesterday.
Today, he's shared with ComicBook.com a number of the cards from the game, which you can see lined up above or get a better view of below. The look and feel of the game is basically as hilariously subversive as you would imagine from Punks.
I think it's okay for me to spill on the first one... The first issue has the debut of PUNKS THE COMIC #1 contains: PUNKS: THE CARD GAME.

Our goal is to have a limited edition physical card game in time for @ny_comic_con. It may kill @kodychamberlain, tho.

As you can see above, Fialkov followed up with a second tweet indicating that they hope to have a limited edition card game in time for New York Comic Con, which begins the Friday following the release of Punks: The Comic #1.

"Kody Chamberlain and I, along with Image Comics are offering a FREE CLASSIC PUNKS COMIC to make you hate the world a little less," Fialkov wrote to Facebook back when the download was first offered in August (the week Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, MO, and the Internet became consumed with the spectacle of local police squaring off with protesters).
