Man Of Steel's Amy Adams Gave Up First Class Plane Seat To US Soldier Riding Coach

Man of Steel's Lois Lane, actress Amy Adams, is getting noticed today for a random act of kindness.

On a flight leaving Detroit (where Adams was, presumably, filming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice), Adams gave up her first class seat to a U.S. serviceman in uniform who was riding coach. The switch was made privately, before the plane took off.

"I noticed Ms. Adams was in first class and as I was getting seated, I saw the flight attendant guide the soldier to Ms. Adams' seat. She was no longer in it, but it was pretty clear that she'd given up her seat for him," fellow passenger Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN2's Numbers Never Lie, told ABC News. "I was incredibly impressed, and I'm not even sure if the soldier knew who gave him that seat. I guess he will now!"

Adams, whose father was a member of the U.S. military, spoke briefly to the soldier while standing near the cockpit, and then took her seat in coach.

"Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character," Hill added. "And somebody in coach just got a helluva seatmate!"
