has great news for comic book fans and comic book stores. Marvel has announced that The Stand: Captain Trips hardcover will be released exclusively to comic book stores. The Stand: Captain Trips Premiere hardcover collects the first graphic fiction adaptation of Stephen King’s seminal novel. The Stand: Captain Trips hardcover is written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with art by Mike Perkins and colorist Laura Martin. The hardcover will have two covers, one by Lee Bermejo and a limited edition gatefold cover by Mike Perkins. The Stand: Captain Trips is an epic apocalyptic battle between good and evil. The story begins on a secret army base in the Californian desert, where something has gone horribly wrong. Charlie Campion, his wife and daughter flee in the middle of the night, unaware they are carrying a deadly cargo, which is a deadly virus. The virus will spread from person to person like wildfire, causing a wave of death. Just like with Civil War and Secret Invasion, The Stand: Captain Trips Premiere hardcover will be supported by mainstream and hobby market press.
