Marvel to Promote Miracleman in Theaters This Weekend

In cinemas in the U.S. over Memorial Day weekend, Marvel Comics will be running ads for Miracleman comics, according to Bleeding Cool. Noting that it's likely this will fuel speculation of a film adaptation for the character (which makes sense given the decision to refer to mutants as "miracles" for legal reasons in Captain America: The Winter Soldier), the site reports that an ad will run in  365 cinemas ahead of PG-13 films and that Marvel have told retailers that it is expected to be viewed by two-and-a-half million people about ten minutes before previews. Singling out a particular comic is unusual for this kind of practice, although Marvel has been getting more aggressive with mainstream media advertising since the launch of Marvel NOW!.
