Nickelodeon’s Legends of the Hidden Temple was a staple of their weekday line-up and, even for a show geared towards kids, set itself apart from any other game show. With its wise talking head, Olmec, and iconic aesthetics that resembled quasi-Mayan iconography, it was definitely one of the most physical shows out there that became unforgettable for a generation. Legends even won a CableAce award for Best Game Show!

At Nick’s Back To The 90’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, fans were treated to the world premiere of the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie trailer, that is set to debut on Nickelodeon in the fall of 2016. Take a look!

The movie uses a lot of the props from the original show, from the Shrine of the Silver Monkey to the ancient warriors, and even Olmec’s Pendant of Life. They even threw in a green monkey as well the host of the show Kirk Fogg as what appears to be a tour guide to the ancient temple. Dee Bradley Baker will be reprising his role of Olmec as well.

The movie, much like the original game show, looks targeted to kids, but grown fans who might want to be thrownback to the 90’s for a brief moment, might want to check this out too.
