So, you’ve done it. You’ve beaten Pokemon GO, reaching the top level of the game. Weighed down with berries and CP, you’re starting to wonder whether it’s all been worth it – if what you’ve done is worth the bragging rights you’ve gained. One user _problemz found this out when he reached level 40 and posted proof of his accomplishment to Reddit. But, now, the truth has been revealed – they cheated.

“It’s over. First of all I want you to tell that I was using a bot, obviously,” he revealed. “I don’t want to tell you how to use a bot and won’t answer anything related to that.”

The user wrote he started playing Pokemon GO with bots as just a project to see how far he could get in the game. _problemz did stress that he didn’t use his outrageous power-ups to ruin others’ gaming experiences. He wrote, “I didn’t fight in Gyms. And I won’t do it. I don’t want to take anyone the fun of this game. I find it disrespectful and disgusting to profiling with that.”

He also confirmed that he was planning to write to Niantic, asking the developer to delete his account. Of course, there are plenty of fans who would kill for his profile, but _problemz is staunchly refusing to give out his data to anyone. And don’t even ask to buy his profile – it won’t go over well.

Still, it’s impressive he managed to reach the final Pokemon GO level even with the hack. The bots _problemz was using gave him about 280,000 XP an hour, but level 40 required him to accrue 5 million XP. That’s an insane amount of XP, let’s be honest. He also revealed, “a total of 20 Milion [sic] XP was needed to hit the current maximum Level. However, when he won, _problemz did tell gamers that his rewards weren’t all that impressive. The trainer was gifted with 40 Max Potions, 40 Ultra Balls, 40 Max Revives, 40 Razz Berries, 4 Incense, 4 Incubators, 4 Lucky Eggs, and 4 Lures.

Clearly, it seems like becoming a pokemon master is only truly meaningful if you do it the tried, true, and honest way.
