Looks like there's no more beating around the bush about where Marvel is taking Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is Season 3. The studio as officially revealed (via Variety) that the series will be introducing characters inspired by the Secret Warriors comic book series when the show returns this fall.
Secret Warriors was the "Dark Reign" era book from writer Jonathan Hickman (now the architect of Secret Wars) and artist Stefano Caselli. The series saw Nick Fury's protégé Daisy "Quake" Johnson (played by Chloe Bennett as Skye in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) leading a secret team of young, powered operatives. The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 will see Coulson and Skye travelling the world and recruiting powered people to form the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Secret Warriors team.
