The first two teasers for Star Wars Rebels have been released online. The teasers give us our first look at the complete CG animation that will be seen in the series. Both teasers are centered on Ezra, the Force-sensitive teen con artists that we were introduced to last week. The "Spark" teaser features the tagline "To ignite a rebellion, all it takes is a single spark." The teaser shows what looks like a slightly modified version of the classic insignia of the Rebel Alliance and Ezra coming upon a downed Tie Fighter. The "Ignite" trailer pays homage to the Star Wars films, beginning with "A long time ago…" in blue letters on a star filled backdrop, followed by "In a galaxy far, far away," before finishing with "A galaxy ignites." We get more shots of Ezra with the Tie Fighter, a couple shots of Copper the astromech droid, and some old-fashioned shots of Tie Fighters blasting through space. Star Wars Rebels will debut this summer with a television movie and a series of shorts on the Disney Channel. The full series will follow in the fall on Disney XD.
