Batman/Superman

writer Greg Pak and artist Victor Ibanez will take on a new Storm series for Marvel Comics, the publisher announced today at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo (C2E2). According to Comics Beat, "the series will see the character take off around the world on a one-woman peacekeeping mission. She'll be toppling corrupt governments, stopping natural disasters...she'll provide herself as a sort of mutant icon for everybody to look up to." The idea is that while most "proactive" superhero books end with heroes acting decidedly heroic while killing a bunch of people and/or screaming about "JUSTICE!", Storm's will be more about "fixing" things, making it harder to hate mutants because your kids look up to one. Besides Batman/Superman and Action Comics, Pak is currently working on titles for Valiant Entertainment (Eternal Warrior) and Dynamite (Turok: Dinosaur Hunter).
