Actor Owain Yeoman, who currently plays Benedict Arnold on AMC's Turn and will appear in the pilot for CBS's Supergirl in the fall, said in a newly-released interview that he's just signed for the pilot, and that while it's unlikely he can break away from Turn for more episodes just now, he's open to it, and was impressed by director Glen Winter and the scope of the pilot.

"At the moment, it's something I can't really talk about an awful lot," he told Yahoo! TV (via KryptonSite). "I've just signed on for the pilot. I guess there's always the potential that a character could come back. I'm contractually signed on with Turn, so obviously that's my home right now. I will say the scope of the Supergirl pilot was incredible. I've personally never been involved in something with such a huge production value and scope. Glen [Winter], the director, is doing incredible things with it, and I really feel like people who are fans of not just the Supergirl world, but the whole Superman franchise, will be really, really thrilled with this. It genuinely felt like we were shooting a movie."

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist in the title role as Superman's cousin, who comes to earth and finds herself adopted by a family.

Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she's been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was destined to be.

Supergirl is from executive producers/writers Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg. Sarah Schechter is also executive producing, with Glen Winter directing. Based on the characters from DC Comics, Supergirl is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
