As previously reported, DC Comics will be adapting Stieg Larsson’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo into a series of graphic novels. The first The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo isn’t scheduled to arrive in comic book stores until November 2012, but fans won’t have to wait that long to get their first look at the highly anticipated new series.
DC Comics just announced that they will be sending out a free sneak peek preview edition of the series to comic book stores on April 18, 2012. The date was selected to get The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Special Edition Preview into stores in advance of Free Comic Book Day, which occurs on May 5, 2012.
The free advance preview will include the work of author Denise Mina, artists Leonardo Manco and Andrea Mutti and cover artist Lee Bermejo. The description of the preview says that it “introduces the dark mystery of the Vanger family, as disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist is hired to uncover the truth behind a teenage girl’s disappearance over forty years ago. But before Blomkvist can take on the case, he’s going to be thoroughly investigated by hacker extraordinaire Lisbeth Salander.”
