Adult Swim surprised anyone who happened to watching the network at 4:00 a.m. earlier this week by inserting a surreal, 12-minute comedy short into a block of infomercials.

Too Many Cooks, the creation of Casper Kelly, was unlisted on cable guides as anything but more infomercials. In actuality, it's a long parody of 1980s sitcoms that slowly goes off the rail, delving into other popular genres like science fiction, superheroes, and crime drama, all while slowly turning fatally metafictional.
