Kingsman - Pub Fight

"Manners. Maketh. Man." Those three words did a hell of a job setting the tone for Kingsman: The Secret Service. The thrashing Harry then delivers to a bunch of pub thugs is only icing on the cake.

The moment was expertly accentuated by the mid-credits stinger, which has Eggsy returning to the same pub, and teaching the same lesson.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - Vision lifts Mjolnir

Vision Lifts Mjolnir

Director Joss Whedon has spoken about how the whole "Who can lift the hammer?" thing was just meant to be a joke during the party scene. Then he had to introduce the Vision, and he needed a shortcut that would provide a reason for the Avengers to trust him without taking up to much time on screen. That's when the hammer hit him (not literally), and that moment when Thor and other Avengers go silent as Vision lifts Mjolnir like a toy works perfectly.

While the whole "is an elevator worthy?" debate that follows may still continue, this moment remains perfect.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - ...but I need the other guy.

Hulk

This moment is arguably the strongest character beat in the entirety of Avengers: Age of Ultron, one in which Black Widow reaffirms that she is nobody's damsel or love interest. After being captured while heroically retrieving Dr. Cho's healing chamber from Ultron, Bruce Banner shows up to free her from her cell. Bruce's plan is for them to run away together, and to leave the fighting to the gods and super soldiers. Widow kisses banner, tells him she "adores" him, putting a punctuation mark on their burgeoning romance, and then pushes him the cliff, bringing out the "Other Guy" in Banner.

Widow may not be able to have the life that Clint Barton does, but this scene makes it clear that is as much her choice as anyone else's.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - Avengers vs. the Ultron Horde

Avengers

Some of the fight scenes in Avengers: Age of Ultron can be justifiably criticized for lacking focus, cutting too often, or other such sins, but the final battle between the assembled Avengers and the seemingly endless hordes of Ultron drones isn't one of them.

The moment that the robots charge the Avengers, and our heroes try to keep them away from Ultron's doomsday device, looks like a George Perez splash page brought to life. It doesn't get much better than that for superheroes.

Ant-Man – Ant-Man vs.Yellowjacket

It took some building up to, but Ant-Man finally deliver on its premise with the finale battle between Scott Lang and Darren Cross.

The size-changing mechanics were used in exciting and interesting ways, with small scale property damage and digant toy trains.
