Israel Idonije, creator of Athlita Comics's The Protectors, which he co-writes with Ron Marz for artist Bart Sears, will appear on Wednesday's episode of Toy Hunter, airing at 9 p.m. EST on the Travel Channel. Idonije, whose day job is as a Defensive End for the Detroit Lions, will appear in the episode, titled "Toy Touchdown," as host Jordan Hembrough seeks out some collectibles for him at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo, back when Idonije was playing for the Bears and appearing in promotion of The Protectors. Sharp-eyed fans might catch a glimpse of Marz and Sears, as well, given the setting. You can see a photo above, from Hembrough's Twitter feed, and the official description below. Jordan meets up with NFL star Israel Idonije at the C2E2 Convention in Chicago, IL, to help find a variety of action figures with different amounts of articulation, sizing and overall playability.
