Valiant Teasing Minecraft Tie-In

Over at their Valiant First Tumblr, Valiant Entertainment is teasing what looks to be either a series of novelty covers or some other tie-in with the popular social game Minecraft. Given the company's willing to reach out into the wider world -- they've sponsored the U.S. Luge team, including putting them in X-O Manowar-themed uniforms and launched a tabletop game, among other things -- it wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility to be developing a themed Minecraft game, which might explain that differences in size and shape of the images released as teasers. Still, it's most likely an as-yet-unannounced special cover month, like the successful 8-bit covers they've done twice now. Yet another possibility is that they could do a Minecraft-themed comic book one-shot; when Unity debuted recently, the publisher co-released a digital-only issue set in an 8-bit world and featuring the cast of Unity. In any event, they're still rolling out new images pretty regularly. Check out the ones that are available so far with the #ValiantCraft hashtag below.
