A wrestling fan blog claims to have learned exclusively that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may not be participating in next year's WrestleMania XXX because he is nearing an agreement instead to star opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 5. The former California governor is making the rounds of his old franchises in the near future, making appearances in the new Terminator and a new Conan the Barbarian sequel. WWE Examiner now says that the film has to go into production soon lest the producers lose the rights, and that a version of the script is being produced specifically tailored to The Rock. They further claim, "Schwarzenegger may not play the role of a machine in the next film, but a potentially heroic human figure in or close to the Connor family. One theory is that Schwarzenegger's remarkable ability to protect the Connor family in the 1940s or 1950s with antiquated weaponry by today's standards ultimately inspired the machines to develop a terminator in his likeness that was eventually sent to 1984 when Sarah Connor was first targeted for termination." The site notes that Johnson has been a dominant force in the domestic box office over the last year-plus, with Pain & Gain and G.I. Joe: Retaliation both doing great business. He's also had two Fast & Furious movies since 2011, both of which did great money, and will be releasing another one soon, as well as headlining a version of Hercules.
